What's inside

  • A monthly calendar of Page posts, Reels, Stories and Events with copy outlines, links, boost decisions and status
  • An events and offers sheet that schedules the announcement and reminders for each date
  • A monthly review of reach, reactions, comments, shares, link clicks and the bookings each post led to
  • A filled example for Nonna Rosa's, a fictional restaurant (every figure is made up), and a blank CSV of each sheet

How to use it

  1. List the dates that matter this month first: events, offers, holidays and menu changes.
  2. Fill those posts in, then fill the gaps with your regular themes, such as the kitchen, the team and your customers.
  3. Match the format to the job: photos for dishes, Reels for the kitchen, Stories for today's specials, Events for anything people should put in their diary.
  4. Give every post one action: book, call, order or reply.
  5. Decide in advance which posts deserve a boost and how much, and only boost a post that's already doing well.
  6. Answer comments and messages the same day. On a local Page, a question about a table is often a booking.
  7. At the end of the month, fill the review, including bookings people said came from Facebook.

Tips

  • Nonna Rosa's, its staff and every figure in the example are made up. The prices and boost budgets show the layout, not what to spend.
  • Use a Facebook Event for anything with a date and time, then point every post about it to the Event so people find the details in one place.
  • Decide boosts in advance with a budget per post, and check the review before boosting again. A boost that brought no bookings is a cut, not a repeat.
  • Reply to comments and messages the same day. For a restaurant, a question about a table is a booking waiting to happen.
  • If you run a giveaway on your Page, read Meta's Pages, Groups and Events policies first: they say a promotion must not require or incentivise people to share, repost or tag others (checked on 15 October 2026). Our giveaway plan has a full checklist.
  • Zolyp, which makes this template, writes, designs and schedules Facebook posts with the rest of your week, and you approve each one before it goes out.

Common questions

What should a Facebook content calendar include?

The date, post type, topic, a copy outline, the link or call to action, whether you'll boost it and a status. A separate sheet for events and offers keeps announcements and reminders on track.

How often should a local business post on Facebook?

As often as you have something worth saying and can answer the replies. Plan a month, see in the review which posts led to bookings or messages, and adjust. Three or four good posts a week suits the example restaurant; your number may differ.

Can I run a giveaway on my Facebook Page?

Yes, within Meta's rules. Its Pages, Groups and Events policies, checked on 15 October 2026, say you must follow the law (for example official rules and disclosed eligibility), entrants must release Meta from liability and acknowledge it isn't involved, and the promotion must not require or incentivise sharing, reposting or tagging others.

Are the figures in the example real?

No. The restaurant, its events and every figure are made up to show how a filled calendar and review read.
