What's inside

  • A week-by-week plan from January preparation to the week after Eid, with the theme, posts, offers and hours for each week
  • A post calendar with date, platform, format, post and status
  • An orders and hours sheet: changed opening hours, order deadlines and what to post when the dates are confirmed
  • A tone check for posting respectfully during the month
  • A filled example for Crescent Lane Bakery, a fictional bakery (every detail is made up), and a blank CSV of each sheet

How to use it

  1. Start in January: photos, menus and order forms should be ready before the month begins.
  2. Plan around estimated dates and confirm closer to the time. Ramadan and Eid depend on moon sighting, and communities may begin on different days.
  3. Post your Ramadan opening hours early and pin them, because people plan around them.
  4. Plan a few posts a week rather than daily offers. Greetings, hours, giving and behind-the-scenes posts suit the month.
  5. Set an Eid order deadline early enough for your kitchen, and post it more than once.
  6. Prepare the Eid greeting in advance and publish it once the date is confirmed.
  7. Afterwards, note what worked in the orders and hours sheet for next year.

Tips

  • Crescent Lane Bakery, its staff and every detail in the example are made up.
  • Dates come from our social media holidays calendar: Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on or around Mon 8 Feb and Eid al-Fitr on Tue 9 or Wed 10 Mar. Both depend on moon sighting and can differ by a day between communities, so confirm closer to the time.
  • Write the greeting and the Eid post in advance, but publish them only when the date is confirmed for your customers.
  • Change your opening hours on Google Business Profile as well as in a post, so search results show the right times.
  • If you're not Muslim, ask someone who is to read the plan. Small details, such as when you post food, matter.
  • Zolyp, which makes this template, plans posts around the dates that matter to your business, and its Brand Brain holds your tone and banned topics so every post fits the month. Plans with AI-written posts start at $29 a month.

Common questions

When does Ramadan start in 2027?

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on or around Monday 8 February, and Eid al-Fitr on Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March. The exact dates depend on moon sighting and can vary between communities.

What should a business post during Ramadan?

A greeting at the start, your Ramadan opening hours, any iftar or suhoor offers, behind-the-scenes posts, a giving initiative if you have one, and Eid order deadlines and greetings. Fewer, thoughtful posts suit the month better than daily promotions.

Is it appropriate for a non-Muslim business to post about Ramadan?

Yes, if it's respectful and relevant to your customers. Keep greetings simple, avoid turning them into sales posts, and ask Muslim staff or customers to check what you plan.

Is the bakery real?

No. Crescent Lane Bakery and its plan are made up. The Ramadan and Eid dates are estimates from our holidays calendar.
