Add the page and a campaign name to get your link.
How to use UTM links on social
- Make one link per platform, so each shows up as its own source.
- Keep one campaign name for everything about the same offer or launch.
- Use content to tell posts apart, such as reel-1 and carousel-2.
- Put the link where people can click it: link in bio, link stickers in Stories, or the post itself where the platform allows.
- In your analytics, look at traffic by source, medium and campaign to see which posts brought visitors.

Common questions
What is a UTM link?
A normal link with tags added to the end (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and optionally utm_content) that tell your analytics where a visitor came from. The page looks the same to the person clicking.
What should I use for source and medium on social media?
Use the platform as the source (instagram, facebook, linkedin) and a short, consistent medium such as social for organic posts and paid-social for ads. The exact words matter less than using the same ones every time.
Why lower case?
Analytics tools treat Instagram and instagram as two different sources, which splits your numbers. The builder lower-cases everything and turns spaces into hyphens for you.
Do UTM tags affect SEO?
Tagged links in social posts don't change how your pages rank. Don't add UTM tags to links between pages on your own website, because that resets where the visit originally came from.
