Meta, for example, says its estimates can differ from population counts because of people with several accounts and temporary visitors in a location.

What this means for a small business
- Most people who read Reddit each day are not logged in, so write posts and answers that help the quiet readers, not only the people who comment.
- Reddit communities dislike obvious selling. Take part as a person first: answer questions, share what you know and mention your business only when it genuinely helps.
- Reddit is used more by men and by people with degrees in the US, so it suits businesses with technical, professional or hobbyist customers.
- Read the rules of each community before posting. Many ban self-promotion or only allow it on set days.
Knowing where your customers are is half of it; the other half is posting there every week. Make a post with the free generator or let Zolyp plan and write the week for you.
