What this means for a small business
- Fewer than half of small businesses use social media as a regular tool, so posting consistently is still a way to stand out from local competitors.
- Marketing is now the most common reason small firms use both technology and AI. Use AI for ideas and drafts, then check facts and add your own photos.
- Hospitality businesses are among the heaviest social media users, so cafes, restaurants and hotels in particular should expect customers to look for them there.
- Customers increasingly message businesses rather than call. Make sure someone answers WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram messages promptly.
- Free and low-cost tools cover most needs. Start small, measure enquiries and sales, and only pay for more when the results justify it.
Knowing where your customers are is half of it; the other half is posting there every week. Make a post with the free generator or let Zolyp plan and write the week for you.
