Threads statistics for 2026

Threads has 500 million monthly active users, according to Meta (June 2026), up from more than 150 million in April 2024. Meta said in October 2025 that Threads had passed 150 million daily active users. In the US, 8% of adults say they use Threads (Pew Research Center, 2025).

Is Threads bigger than X?

By mobile app users, Similarweb data reported by DataReportal in April 2026 shows the Threads app has more than 1.5 times as many monthly active users as the X app. But X users spend far longer in the app each day (32 minutes against 5 minutes), and in GWI's survey more people say they use X.

Who uses Threads?
