How to pin a post on Threads

Threads' help centre gives these steps for iPhone and Android:

1. Tap Profile or your profile picture in the bottom right.
2. Tap Threads at the top to see the threads you've posted.
3. Tap Options next to the post, then tap Pin to profile.

• The pinned post appears at the top of the Threads section of your profile
• You can't pin more than 1 post at a time to the top of your profile
• To unpin, tap Options next to the post and tap Unpin

On a computer:

1. Click Profile on the left.
2. Click Threads at the top to see the threads you've posted.
3. Click Options next to a post, then click Pin to profile.
4. To unpin it later, click Options next to the post and click Unpin.

In a thread you started, you can also pin one of the replies so it shows at the top, under your post. That suits an update, a link or the best answer to your question.

1. Go to your profile.
2. Tap or click a thread you've started.
3. In the thread, tap Options next to a reply.
4. Tap Pin reply. To undo it, tap Options next to the reply and tap Unpin.

Pinning isn't only for posts. You can also pin these to your home:

• A custom feed: open it, tap Options in the top right, then Pin. Anyone can pin a public feed to their home
• A community: tap Options in the top right of the community, then Add to feeds
• Your insights, on threads.com: click Insights in the left menu, click Options in the top right, then Add as column. Remove it with Options above the column, then Remove column

• A thread of answers to the questions customers ask most, with the latest update as the pinned reply

Check these first:

• You started from the feed. Pin to profile is in the Options menu next to posts on your own profile, under the Threads tab
• You opened the Replies tab. A reply can only be pinned inside a thread you started, using Pin reply
• A post is already pinned. Only 1 post can be pinned to your profile at a time, so check which one is pinned now
• It's someone else's thread. You can pin replies only in threads you started
