Where do you find Threads Insights?
Insights are built into Threads, on mobile and on the web; there's no separate tool to sign up for. Threads rolled out insights for individual posts in January 2025 and added more detail in July 2025. There are two routes in:
- On your phone, go to your profile and tap the insights icon at the top of the screen.
- On a computer, click the menu at the bottom left of threads.com and choose Insights, or go straight to threads.com/insights.
- Pick a date range, then tap any section, such as Views or Interactions, for the detail behind it.

What does Threads Insights show?
The main sections, as Meta describes them:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Views | How often your posts were seen, over time, and where people saw them, including on Instagram and Facebook |
| Interactions | Likes, replies, quotes and reposts on your posts |
| Followers | Follower growth, top cities and countries, age range and gender |
| Top posts | Your posts ranked by views and likes, sortable by replies too |
| Links | How many people visited links you shared in posts or your bio |
| Weekly recap | Posts shared, total views, new followers and replies, compared with the week before |

What do the numbers mean?
Meta's developer documentation defines the same metrics the app shows. In plain terms:
- Views: the number of times a post was played or displayed, so one person seeing it twice counts twice.
- Replies: for a first post, the total replies; Meta's developer docs say nested replies aren't added to a post's own numbers.
- Quotes and reposts: people sharing your post to their own followers, with or without their own comment.
- Link visits: how many people visited links you shared in posts or your bio.
- Follower details: Meta's developer docs say follower breakdowns need at least 100 followers, so small profiles may see little here at first.

How do you check a single post?
In Insights, pick a date range and look at your top posts, ranked by views and likes. Tap See all to list everything you posted in that range, then sort by views, likes or replies. Tap a post for its breakdown of views and interactions.
Compare posts of the same type: a question against a question, a photo against a photo. That tells you more than comparing a poll with a long opinion post.
Insights also shows personalised tips that Meta says suggest new ways to engage your community. Treat them as ideas to test, then check the next weekly recap to see whether views, replies or new followers moved. One change at a time makes the result easier to read.

Why don't other tools always match Threads Insights?
Scheduling and reporting tools read Threads numbers through Meta's Threads API, and the developer documentation lists a few limits that explain most gaps:
- Post views and shares are marked as still in development in the API.
- A post's reply count doesn't include replies to replies.
- Your follower count is a current total, with no date range.
- Account data can't be requested for dates before 13 April 2024.

Which numbers should a small business watch?
Pick two or three that match your goal and ignore the rest for now:
- To start conversations: replies and quotes per post.
- To grow: new followers in the weekly recap, and where your views came from.
- To get visits: link clicks from your bio and posts.
- To check fit: engagement rate, meaning interactions divided by views, across a month of posts.
How do you turn insights into better posts?
A short routine beats a long report you never open:
- Once a week, open the weekly recap and note views, replies and new followers.
- Find the three posts with the most replies and write down what they had in common.
- Plan next week with more of that type and fewer of the posts that were scrolled past.
- After a month, set the chart to 30 days to see if views and interactions are rising, flat or falling.

Reading the numbers without the dashboard
Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Zolyp's Analyze feature reads the numbers each platform's API exposes for your connected accounts and writes a short weekly report: what landed, what didn't, and one or two changes for next week. History starts when you connect; there's no backfill from before.
Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the posts and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), then schedules and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. Nothing goes out until you approve it. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
