What do you need before you start?
Bulk upload is a business account feature and only works on a computer. If you're on a phone, Pinterest says to switch to the web version of the page.
- A Pinterest business account
- Your images or videos hosted at public web addresses that point to the file itself, usually ending in .png, .jpeg or .mp4
- A spreadsheet saved as a CSV file. Pinterest offers a sample spreadsheet on its help page to use as a template
- Up to 200 images or videos per upload

What goes in each column?
Each row is one Pin. Pinterest's columns and rules:

How do you upload the file?
Once your spreadsheet is saved as a CSV:
- Log in to your Pinterest business account on a computer.
- Click the chevron icon at the top right to open your menu.
- Click Settings.
- Select Import content in the left-hand menu.
- Next to Upload .csv or .txt file, click Upload.
- Drag your file into the box, or click the upload icon to choose it.
- Watch for Pinterest's confirmation email. It may also contact you if something needs reformatting.

How do you schedule Pins in the file?
The Publish date column decides when each Pin goes live:
- Leave it empty to publish the Pin straight away.
- Enter a future date as yyyy-mm-dd to schedule it. Without a time, it publishes at the time of day you uploaded the file.
- To pick a time, add it in UTC after a T, such as 2026-11-02T08:00:00. Convert from your local time first.
- Spread dates across the weeks ahead rather than putting the whole file on one day.
- US business accounts can also upload video Pins in a .txt file, up to 200 videos a day. Each entry needs a date, a link and a Who can view setting; anything other than everyone means no Pin is created

Why didn't your Pins upload?
Check these first:
- A Pin is missing: a badly formatted publish date causes an error and that Pin won't publish. Use yyyy-mm-dd
- The image or video won't load: the Media URL must be public and point to the file, not to a web page showing it
- Pins went to a new board you didn't want: a typo in the board name creates a new board. Copy board names exactly
- A video thumbnail was rejected: an image thumbnail must match the video's aspect ratio
- Text over the limits: keep titles to 100 characters and descriptions to 500
- You can't find the upload option: it's desktop only and needs a business account
