What are your options for running more than one account?
Pinterest's current set-up:
- Separate accounts, each with its own email address, connected so you can switch between them
- Linked business accounts are no longer supported. Any that weren't converted have been permanently deactivated and can't be reactivated
- For agencies or businesses with several brands, Business Manager can group business accounts into a parent and child hierarchy
- Accounts can't be merged

How do agencies manage several business accounts?
Business Manager can create a parent account with child businesses beneath it, so one team can manage access across them. To create a hierarchy:
- Click the menu icon at the top left and, under Manage business, select Business Manager.
- Click Business settings, then Create business hierarchy, and name it. The account you're using becomes a child account.
- Add at least one Organization Manager under Managers, Invite managers. They can see and manage every child account.
- To add more businesses, open the Business hierarchy tab, click Add business, enter Business IDs and click Invite. You can add up to 20 at a time.
- Each invited business approves the request from its Business Manager notification.
- Pinterest says to add only businesses you own. A client who owns their own account and assets should stay outside your hierarchy. Partner access is covered in our Business Manager guide
- Use the dropdown in Business Manager to move between the business accounts, ad accounts and profiles you can access

What can't you do, and how do you fix common problems?
The limits that catch people out:
- Merging: not possible. Keep both and switch, or close the one you don't need
- Moving Pins: there's no bulk transfer. Save each Pin from the old account to the new one
- Same email twice: each email can only be on one account at a time. Deactivating doesn't free it up; close the account or change its email
- Accounts missing from the switcher: switching is lost if you clear cookies or cache, or move to a different device. Connect them again
- Pins or boards suddenly missing: you may have created a new account by accident, often after getting a new phone. Log out and find the original
- Business account you no longer need: convert it to personal under Settings, Account management, Convert account, after paying any outstanding bills

Several brands, one place to plan
Disclosure: this is our product. If you run Pinterest for more than one brand, each brand in Zolyp keeps its own Brand Brain, calendar and connected accounts as a separate workspace, so one brand's voice doesn't leak into another's. Nothing publishes until you approve it. There's a 3-day free trial, no card required.
Common questions
Can I have two Pinterest accounts?
Yes. Create the second one with a different email address, then connect them so you can switch.
Can I merge two Pinterest accounts?
No. Pinterest says accounts can't be merged. Keep both and switch, or close the one you don't need.
Can two Pinterest accounts use the same email?
No. Each email address can only be connected to one Pinterest account at a time.
Why can't I switch between my Pinterest accounts any more?
Switching only works in the same browser session. Clearing cookies or cache, or changing device, removes it, so connect the accounts again.
Can I move Pins from one Pinterest account to another?
Not in bulk. Save each Pin from the original account to the new one.
