Who can create a Product Page?

A Product Page is an extension of your company Page. You need:

  • An existing Company or University Page.
  • The super admin or content admin role on that Page.
  • A Page in an eligible industry: B2B software, computer hardware, financial services, insurance, education, healthcare or pharmaceuticals. LinkedIn's category list also includes a group of others, such as biotechnology research and medical equipment manufacturing.
  • A product your organisation owns. Services don't qualify; LinkedIn points those to a Service Page.

How do you create and publish a Product Page?

From your company Page:

  1. Go to your Page's super or content admin view.
  2. Select + Create below the Page name in the upper-left corner, then + Add a product. If that option is missing, your Page's industry may not be eligible.
  3. If the product has the same name as your organisation, select Yes, my product and organization have the same name, click Next, tick I understand and click Create. This makes a flagship Product Page.
  4. Otherwise select No, my product has a different name, click Next, enter the product name and click Get started.
  5. On the new Product Page, click the Edit icon next to each field and fill in everything marked with an asterisk, including a category. Click Save after each one.
  6. Click Submit for review.
  7. When the approval notification arrives, go to your admin view, click Activity, then View product and Publish product.
  • The default hashtag is your product name, such as #abctools for ABC Tools. Custom hashtags aren't available.
  • You can create up to 35 additional Product Pages, but only the ten most recently created show to visitors.
  • A flagship Product Page's name and logo can't be changed once it's published.

Flagship or separate Product Page?

The choice affects where the product appears and what you can edit later:

  • To turn a separate Product Page into a flagship one, contact LinkedIn.

What can a Product Page show?

Both types support:

  • An About section, a website link and a call-to-action button.
  • Plans and pricing, including free trial details.
  • Product images and videos.
  • Product highlights: selected posts from your company Page.
  • Featured customers (other LinkedIn Pages) and featured integrations.
  • Product users: job roles likely to use the product.
  • Connections who list the product as a skill, and an Ask people about this product panel.
  • Product recommendations from members, which you can show or hide. LinkedIn says admins can no longer invite people to write them.

Why was my Product Page rejected?

Every new Product Page, and every edit, is reviewed. A rejected submission can't become a Product Page, but if you entered something wrong you can create a new one and resubmit. LinkedIn's reasons:

  • Each Product Page can have only one category.

Where Zolyp fits

Zolyp, which publishes this guide, is our own product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Product highlights are posts from your company Page. Zolyp writes and schedules those Page posts and shows their analytics, which makes it easier to pick the ones worth highlighting. LinkedIn is one of the 9 platforms it publishes to (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads), and you approve the week before anything goes live. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial.
