What does pinning do on a Facebook Page?
Pinned items appear in the Featured section at the top of your Page, so they're the first thing a visitor sees. Meta says you can pin posts, upcoming events and recent videos. The newest pinned item appears at the front of the list, but you can change the order, and pinned items stay until you remove them.
- You need Facebook access to the Page to pin items.

How do you pin a post from the Featured section?
Meta's steps on a computer:
- Log in to Facebook, then click your profile photo in the top right.
- Click See all profiles, then select the Page you want to switch into.
- Click your Page's profile picture in the top right, then click your Page's name to go to your Page.
- Click Manage in the Featured section. If your Page already has pinned items, click Add next to them.
- Click Pin next to Upcoming event, Recent videos or a post below Recent posts you can pin.
- Quicker route: go to the post on your Page, click Options in its top right and click Pin post.

How do you reorder or unpin an item?
Both start from Manage in the Featured section:
- Switch into your Page and go to it.
- Click Manage in the Featured section.
- Click Options in the top right of the item.
- To remove it, click Unpin. To reorder, select Move to front, or Move and then Move left or Move right.
- Click Done.

What should a small business pin?
Pin whatever a first-time visitor most needs this month. Because pins don't expire, check them whenever something changes.
- A current offer or launch, with the end date in the text.
- How to book or order, matching your Page's action button.
- An upcoming event, such as a tasting or open day.
- A short video that shows what you do.
- A notice about changed opening hours or a fake account copying you.

Why can't you pin a post?
Check these first:
- You aren't switched into the Page. Pinning is done as the Page, not from your personal profile.
- You don't have Facebook access. Meta's pinning steps are for people with Facebook access to the Page; ask someone with full control to check yours.
- The post isn't in the Featured list. Go to the post itself and use Options, then Pin post.
- It's an old offer still at the top. Pins stay until someone removes them, so unpin it from Manage.

Keeping what's under the pin fresh
Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. A pinned post holds the top spot; the posts below it show visitors you're active. Zolyp doesn't pin posts for you, but it keeps the feed underneath posting each week.
Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), then schedules and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You review and approve the week, and Autopilot lets you hand off publishing theme by theme once you trust the output. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
