What will Meta remove?
Meta says profiles and Pages that impersonate other people go against its Community Standards, and that it removes impostor accounts on Facebook and Instagram that falsely claim to represent your official presence. Fan Pages and opinion accounts generally don't violate its rules, even if you'd rather they didn't exist.

How do you report a fake Page?
Meta's steps on a computer:
- Go to the impersonating Page. If you can't find it, search for the name or ask someone to send you the link.
- Click Options (the three dots) below the cover photo.
- Select Report Page.
- Choose the option that best describes the problem and follow the prompts.
- To report a fake profile, the steps are the same but you select Report profile.
- You can also report impostor profiles or Pages in Messenger.
- Depending on what you choose, Meta may use your feedback rather than ask you to submit a full report.

What if it's copying your Instagram too?
On Instagram, tap the three dots in the top right of the account, select Report and follow the instructions. If you don't have a Facebook or Instagram account, Meta's business help article links to separate impostor report forms for each.

When should you use the trademark form?
If the fake Page uses your brand name or logo, Meta's Trademark Report Form covers infringements of a word, slogan, symbol or design. Owners of a registered trademark can also apply for Brand Rights Protection, which Meta describes as a tool to find and report trademark violations, counterfeits and copyright infringements in one place.
- Only use the form for trademark claims. Meta warns that abuse of the form may result in the termination of your account.

What should you do while you wait?
Meta doesn't publish a timeline for impostor reports, so protect customers in the meantime:
- Post on your real Page saying which account is yours and that you'll never ask for payment by message, then pin it.
- Ask customers who were contacted to report the fake Page too. Meta says that if you can't access a Page, you can ask a friend to report it.
- Check your own Page's admins and turn on two-factor authentication, in case the copy is part of a takeover attempt.

Making the real Page easy to recognise
Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. An active Page with a consistent look is easier for customers to tell apart from a copy. Zolyp keeps your posts regular and on brand using your saved colours and tone.
Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), then schedules and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You review and approve the week, and Autopilot lets you hand off publishing theme by theme once you trust the output. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
