Which verified badges exist on Facebook?

Meta lists three kinds of verification on Facebook, and only one of them is aimed at ordinary businesses:

  • Meta says it doesn't count paid or promotional content as news sources for the notable badge, so most small businesses won't qualify for it.

Who can sign up for Meta Verified for businesses?

Meta's sign-up help lists these requirements. If any is missing, the sign-up option won't appear:

  • Full control of an existing business portfolio in Meta Business Suite.
  • At least one eligible asset in that portfolio: a Facebook business Page, an Instagram professional business profile or a WhatsApp business profile.
  • A complete profile on each asset, with a profile picture, business name, category and contact information.
  • Advanced Protection turned on for everyone with access to the business portfolio. Meta notes this can't be turned off once the subscription is active.
  • A supported region. Meta says plans, benefits and availability vary by region, app and account.

What do the plans include?

Meta lists four business plans: Standard, Plus, Premium and Max. Every plan includes the verified badge, impersonation protection, enhanced chat and email support and search optimisation. Higher plans add priority support, phone call requests, a featured profile and more. Meta doesn't publish prices in its help centre; you see them when you start the sign-up, and bundling more than one asset may get a discount.

Why can't you get verified?

Check these before contacting Meta:

  • No sign-up option: someone with portfolio access hasn't turned on Advanced Protection, or an asset is missing a picture, category or contact details. Meta says changes can take up to 24 hours to show.
  • You see a waitlist: Meta says your assets may still be missing required information.
  • Verification not finished: if you don't complete it within three days, Meta cancels the subscription and you're eligible for a refund.
  • Can't edit your Page: while the application is in review, you may not be able to change the name, username or location.
  • Lost the badge: Meta may cancel an active subscription if you disconnect a subscribed Facebook Page and Instagram account.

A badge is only half of trust

Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. A verified badge tells people the Page is really you; a steady run of useful posts tells them you're active. Zolyp handles the second part.

Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), then schedules and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You review and approve the week, and Autopilot lets you hand off publishing theme by theme once you trust the output. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.

Common questions

How much does Meta Verified cost for a business?

Meta's help centre doesn't list prices. It says plans and availability vary by region, app and account, and you see the price for your business when you start the sign-up.

How long does Facebook verification take?

Meta says it reviews your application and sends an update within three working days.

Can I get the blue badge on Facebook for free?

Only through the notable badge, which Meta reserves for well-known, often searched people, brands and entities featured in multiple news sources. Otherwise the blue badge comes with a Meta Verified subscription.

What happens if I cancel Meta Verified?

Meta says the subscription stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, then the badge and benefits end. Cancel at least 24 hours before your next payment date to avoid another charge.

Can I verify my Facebook Page and Instagram together?

Yes. Meta lets you verify up to two eligible assets from the same business portfolio, or up to three on the Facebook app or Meta Business Suite on a computer, and bundling may lower the price.
