What can you download from YouTube?
Only videos you uploaded yourself. YouTube's options:

How do you download a video you uploaded?
On a computer:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- From the left panel, select Content.
- Find the video you want, then select Menu and choose Download.
- If you blurred or trimmed the video, YouTube says you can download it and upload it again to publish your changes.

When should you keep a copy?
Download first whenever a change can't be undone:
- Before deleting videos. A deleted video is permanently deleted and can't be recovered through YouTube, so YouTube tells you to keep a backup.
- Before bulk deleting. The Delete forever option on the Content page removes several videos or drafts at once.
- Before deleting your channel, which permanently deletes its videos, comments, playlists and history.

Why can't I download my YouTube video?
YouTube lists four reasons the Download option won't work:
