What does Account Status show?

Account Status tells you if something you posted went against the Community Standards and whether it may lead to restrictions. Meta lists what you'll see:

  • The status of your main Facebook profile.
  • The status of things you manage, such as Pages and groups.
  • Restrictions, including Community Standards strikes, limited monetisation and recommendation status.

How do strikes turn into restrictions?

Meta's Transparency Centre says strikes can count against a Page if the content was posted to a Page you manage. For most violations, the restrictions build like this:

  • Meta says all strikes on Facebook or Instagram expire after one year.
  • Pages that repeatedly break the rules may be removed from recommendations, get reduced distribution or lose some monetisation features.
  • Severe violations can bring longer restrictions from the first strike, and some lead straight to the account being disabled.

How do you request a review of a removed post?

If Meta took down content you think was fine, the Facebook help steps are:

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right, then your profile name.
  2. Click Options, then Profile status.
  3. Open the message about the removed content.
  4. If you see the option, click Request review.
  • If Meta finds it made a mistake, the content is restored, and the Transparency Centre says the related strike and restriction are removed.
  • Meta notes that some content types can't be reviewed, and it may not review every request during busy periods.

How do you check advertising restrictions?

Ad restrictions live in a different place. Meta Business Support Home shows the status of your business portfolios, ad accounts and Pages:

  1. Go to Business Support Home and choose the last 14, 30 or 90 days with the calendar icon.
  2. Open the Outstanding tab under Recent account issues to see current problems.
  3. If an account was restricted by mistake, select it, then Request review under What you can do. You must be an admin on the account.
  • Meta says reviews are typically completed in 48 hours, ads that were running don't restart by themselves, and the number of reviews you can request is limited.

Why is your Page restricted when Account Status looks clear?

Other places to check:

  • Ads won't run: look in Business Support Home, and check for a failed payment, which also pauses ads.
  • The Page was taken over: a sudden change you didn't make may be a hack, not a restriction.
  • Posts get low reach: Meta says its Feed ranking demotes some content types, such as engagement bait.

When a scheduled post fails

Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. If a restriction stops a post going out, Zolyp shows a plain-language reason on the post's card, and Retry re-sends only to the platforms that failed. It can't lift a restriction; that's always done through Meta.

Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), then schedules and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You review and approve the week, and Autopilot lets you hand off publishing theme by theme once you trust the output. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
