Can you change the name yourself?
It depends on how big the change is and how many employees are linked to the Page. LinkedIn's examples:
- Small number of linked employees: make minimal or significant changes yourself in Edit page, then tell employees.
- Large number of linked employees: contact LinkedIn. LinkedIn doesn't say where small ends and large begins.
- Verified Page: contact LinkedIn for any name change.
- Names are limited to 100 characters, must match the real organisation and can't include any version of LinkedIn.

How do you change a LinkedIn Page name?
On desktop, as a super admin:
- Go to the Page's super admin view.
- Click Edit page in the left menu.
- Click the Page info tab.
- Click Name and type the new name.
- Click Save.
- In the app: open the super admin view, tap Dashboard, then Edit page, change the Name and tap Save.
- If you don't see the option to edit the name, the Page likely has too many linked employees. Contact LinkedIn.

How do you change a LinkedIn Page URL?
Changing the name doesn't change the URL. To edit it:
- Go to the Page's super admin view.
- Click Edit page, then the Page info tab.
- Click the LinkedIn Public URL box and type the new URL.
- Click Save.
- Lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens and Chinese, Japanese or Korean characters only, with at least one character that isn't a number.
- No double hyphens, and no hyphen at the start or end.
- Once in a 30-day period at most, and only if the URL is free.
- It should match the Page name. LinkedIn prefers /the-dream-company to an acronym such as /tdc.

What happens after you change the name or URL?
What LinkedIn says changes, and what doesn't:
- Employees' work experience isn't updated. Post on the Page to tell them so they can edit their profiles.
- The old URL keeps sending people to your Page until another Page asks for it, which ends the redirect.
- Search engines may take a few weeks to show the new URL.
- Every Page also has a numeric URL, visible to admins, that never changes.

What about a full rebrand or merger?
With a large employee count, publish a press release that states the new name and the reason for the rebrand, then contact LinkedIn with it. LinkedIn reviews whether it meets its criteria.
- Followers can't be moved to a new Page when the change comes from an acquisition, merger, de-merger or company split.
- To use an old URL for another of your Pages, contact LinkedIn support.

Why can't I change my LinkedIn Page name or URL?
Common blockers:
