What can you change on Threads, and what lives in Accounts Centre?

- If your Threads username is shared with your Instagram account, Meta warns that changing it may affect some Threads features
- To use the same username on Instagram and Threads, both must be in the same Accounts Centre

How do you add links or a podcast to your bio?
Add links from Edit profile by tapping Link. Meta's newsroom says you can add up to five links to your bio, and that Insights shows how many people visited the links you share.
Threads also has a separate podcast field:
- Go to your profile and tap Edit profile.
- Tap Podcast.
- Enter the URL of your podcast.
- Tap Done in the top right.
- A podcast from a supported service shows as a preview at the top of your profile
- You can then connect your podcast's RSS feed to use Threads' podcast sharing tools, reminders and insights
- To link your Threads profile to a profile on another fediverse server, such as Mastodon, add a link to it in your bio

Why can't you change something on your Threads profile?
- Your profile picture won't change. If your Instagram account is verified, change the picture on Instagram
- Your name won't change. Meta's edit profile page says you can edit your name from Threads if you created the profile with a mobile number or email, though its create profile page says profiles are made with Instagram or Facebook. Try Accounts Centre, Profiles, instead
- You can't find Accounts Centre. Meta is renaming it Meta Account settings for some people, and Threads isn't in either everywhere yet
- A username change broke something. Meta warns that changing a username shared with Instagram may affect some Threads features
