How can a small business use X advanced search?
Our suggestions, built from X's fields:
- Find posts that mention your business by name without tagging you: search the name as an exact phrase and exclude your @handle
- Find local questions you could answer: a phrase like "recommend a" plus your trade, with your town as the place
- Find your own old posts on a topic: posts from your account, plus a keyword and a date range
- See what customers ask a bigger brand in your space: posts sent as replies to that brand's account
- Track an event hashtag only during the event dates

Can you save searches on X?
In the Android app, open a search, tap the overflow icon at the top of the results and tap Save. Saved searches then appear when you tap the search box, and you remove one with the X next to it. X's pages disagree about the web: its search guide mentions a Save this search option on the results page, while its saved searches page says saved searches aren't currently available on x.com.

Why doesn't a post show up in X search?
- Safe search is on. It filters out potentially sensitive content and accounts you've muted or blocked. Change it under Search settings on x.com; the setting applies in the apps too
- The account's posts are protected. Only that account and its followers can find them in X search
- You're in the app. Advanced search fields are on x.com when you're logged in
- Your filters are too tight. Remove a field at a time, starting with Places, which only finds posts sent from a location
