What does the Ad Library show?

Meta built the Ad Library for transparency, and anyone can use it. For all ads, you can see the ones currently active. Ads about social issues, elections or politics stay searchable when inactive, with who paid, a spending range and reach; Meta keeps those for seven years. Meta's Transparency Centre adds that ads delivered in the EU show more information and are archived for one year after their last impression.

How can a small business use it?

The library shows what's running, not how well it works. Useful checks:

  • See which offers, formats and calls to action local competitors keep running.
  • Check your own Page to confirm which of your ads are live and in which countries.
  • Note each ad's start date to see how long it has been running.
  • Search a keyword for your category to see how other businesses describe the same product.

Why can't you find an ad?

Common reasons, from Meta's help page:

  • It isn't running any more. Outside issue, election and political ads, only active ads appear.
  • You picked the wrong country. Ads are filtered by where they were delivered.
  • It was removed. Meta says ads can be taken out of the library in limited cases, such as serious Community Standards violations or a valid government request.
  • It carries a warning. Ads that broke advertising policies may still appear, behind a warning message.

From research to your own posts

Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Competitors' ads can suggest what to say; you still need posts going out. Zolyp doesn't read the Ad Library, but it turns your own offers and themes into a weekly plan.

Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), then schedules and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You review and approve the week, and Autopilot lets you hand off publishing theme by theme once you trust the output. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
