Why don't all my subscribers show up?
The list is limited by viewers' privacy choices:
- Shown: people who made their subscriptions public and subscribed in the last 28 days.
- Not shown: people who keep their subscriptions private, and accounts that are suspended or identified as spam.
- Subscriptions are private by default. Viewers change this in YouTube under Settings, then Privacy, then Keep all my subscriptions private.

Why did my subscriber count drop?
Some movement is normal. YouTube lists these causes:
- Viewers subscribing and unsubscribing as usual.
- Spam subscribers removed. These include subscribers gained artificially, such as bought ones. You'll get an alert in YouTube Studio if you're affected.
- Closed accounts removed, whether closed by the user or terminated by YouTube for a policy violation. Analytics shows these as closed accounts.
- YouTube says it doesn't automatically unsubscribe viewers. Spam accounts stop counting towards your total but stay subscribed.

Why don't subscribers see my new videos?
Usually one of these:
- Publishing to the Subscriptions feed usually takes a few minutes or less.
- If changes look outside the normal range, YouTube asks you to report an issue through its feedback form.
| What subscribers say | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| It's not on my Home tab | Home shows what YouTube thinks each viewer wants now, not every subscription | Point them to the Subscriptions feed, which lists every video |
| It's not in my Subscriptions feed | A crowded feed, or older videos dropping off on busy feeds | Share the link directly |
| Nothing at all | An advanced setting can stop a video publishing to Subscriptions feeds | Check the video's distribution setting |

Subscriber growth tends to follow a steady upload schedule. Zolyp, which publishes this guide, publishes to YouTube as one of 9 platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads). It creates video uploads and Shorts with titles and descriptions written for search, can set a custom thumbnail on a standard video, and schedules them with the posts on your other networks. You approve the week before anything goes live.
Common questions
Can I see a list of all my YouTube subscribers?
No. Studio only lists subscribers from the last 28 days who keep their subscriptions public, and subscriptions are private by default.
Does YouTube automatically unsubscribe people?
YouTube says no. Its investigations found viewers were still subscribed, had unsubscribed by accident, or simply didn't see videos on their Home tab.
Do bought subscribers count?
No. Subscribers gained through artificial means, such as buying them, are treated as spam and don't count towards your total.
Why is my public subscriber count rounded?
YouTube shortens it as you grow. Between 1,000 and 9,999 subscribers it updates every 10, so 1,234 shows as 1.23 K.
Where do I see my exact subscriber count?
In YouTube Studio, go to Analytics, find the Realtime card on the Overview tab and click See live count.
