How do you use Suggest description?
Google can draft a description from your profile information. It's only available in selected regions and languages, and you must be 18 or over.

- Google warns the suggestion is creative text and may not be accurate, so read it before you save.
- To report a bad suggestion, select the thumbs-down icon, then Report an issue.

What should you write?
Our suggestion, built on Google's rules: lead with what you do and where, then the main services, then what makes you different, then how long you've been going. Use the words customers would search for, naturally, because Google's ranking page says relevance depends on how well your profile matches a search.
A made-up example for a plumber: "Family-run plumbing and heating firm serving Leeds and nearby towns since 2011. We fit and service boilers, fix leaks and burst pipes, and install bathrooms. Gas Safe registered engineers, tidy work and written quotes before we start."
- Put offers in posts, not the description. Our posts guide covers how.
- Our tip: don't repeat your address, hours or phone number; they have their own fields.

Why isn't your description showing?
Check these:
- It's still in review. Changes can take up to 30 days.
- It breaks a rule, such as including a link or focusing on a sale. Remove it and save again.
- You can't see Suggest description. It's limited to some regions and languages and to users aged 18 or over.
- You're signed in to the wrong account. You need the Google Account linked to the profile.
