How does Facebook ad review work?
Every ad is checked against Meta's Advertising Standards before it runs. Review starts automatically when you create or edit an ad, and you can see its status in the Delivery column in Ads Manager. Meta says review relies mainly on automated technology, with human reviewers in some cases.
- Meta may review images, video, text, targeting, the ad's destination, special ad categories and advertiser permissions.
- Most ads are reviewed within 24 hours, though it can take longer.
- Ads can be reviewed again at any time, including after they're live.

Why are Facebook ads rejected?
Meta lists these scenarios:
- The ad doesn't comply with the laws where the advertiser is based.
- It discriminates against a group or demographic.
- It uses deceptive or misleading practices to scam people out of money or personal information.
- It breaks the Community Standards, Advertising Standards, Commerce Policies or other Meta policies and terms.

What are your options after a rejection?
Read the reason in Business Support Home first, then pick one:
- Meta suggests checking the image, video, text, targeting and landing page against the Advertising Standards before editing.
- A successfully overturned rejection doesn't count as an ad violation.
| Option | When to use it | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Edit the ad | You can see what broke the rules | Not every ad type can be edited; editing doesn't remove the violation |
| Create a new ad | The ad can't be edited or needs a rethink | Deleting the rejected ad may stop you requesting a review |
| Request another review | You believe the rejection was wrong | If it's rejected again, you can't request another review of that ad |

How do you request another review?
Meta's steps:
- Go to Business Support Home.
- Select the account or catalogue with the rejected ads.
- Select the ad, ad sets or campaigns you believe were wrongly rejected.
- Click Request review, then Submit.
- Meta aims to decide within 48 hours and relies more on human reviewers for these requests.
- Track the status in Business Support Home. If the decision is reversed and your campaign is active, the ad starts delivering automatically.
- Meta says requesting a review won't hurt your standing.

Why was an approved ad rejected later?
Meta can review a running ad again: at random, when it gets unexpectedly high engagement, or when people hide, block or report it. You're only told if it's found to break the rules, in which case it's rejected and stops delivering.
- Editing a running ad's targeting, creative, optimisation or billing event triggers a new review.
- Changing the bid, budget or ad set schedule doesn't.
- Severe or repeated violations can lead Meta to restrict your ad account, Page or business account from advertising.

Organic posts don't go through ad review
Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Zolyp doesn't create or run ads, so it never touches your ad account. It keeps your Page posting organically, which carries on whatever is happening with your ads.
Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), then schedules and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You review and approve the week, and Autopilot lets you hand off publishing theme by theme once you trust the output. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
