Why do people look for a Loomly alternative?
Loomly is a tidy calendar with approvals and analytics built in. People usually look elsewhere because of:
- No free plan: a free trial with no card, then Starter at $49 a month billed yearly or $65 billed monthly.
- Starter stops at 3 users. Unlimited users means Beyond, at $249 a month billed yearly ($332 monthly) for 60 accounts.
- Yearly plans save 25% but can't be ended early, so you're committed for 12 months.
- Scheduled reports and custom branding are Beyond-only.
- It helps you write, with AI captions and post ideas, but you still plan, design and assemble each post.

Planable: approvals, priced per brand
Planable is built around review and approval, and you pay per workspace (one brand, client or location) with unlimited users on every plan. Basic is $39 a workspace a month ($33 billed yearly) for 4 social pages and 60 posts a month. Pro is $59 ($49 billed yearly) for 10 pages, 150 posts and required approvals, where at least one person must sign off before a post goes out. Analytics ($14) and a social inbox ($9) are add-ons per workspace a month.
Two things to check: Basic publishes one post to X per 24 hours, and the free trial (50 posts in total, no time limit, no card) doesn't include X. Best for: agencies and brands where a client or manager approves every post.

Sendible: unlimited users and an inbox
Sendible gives every plan unlimited users. Core is $35 a month for one workspace and 6 profiles, with unlimited scheduling, unlimited AI credits, bulk scheduling, and monitoring and replying. Approvals start on Plus, $99 a month for 3 workspaces and 18 profiles, which is the closest match if your team has grown past Loomly Starter's 3 users. Yearly billing saves 15%; the trial is 14 days with no card.
Best for: growing teams and agencies that want everyone in one tool with an inbox included.

Publer: cheap scheduling per account
Publer prices by social account. Professional is $5 an account a month ($4 billed yearly), every tenth account is free, and it adds first comments, threads, X and unlimited workspaces. Business ($10, or $8 billed yearly) adds analytics, best times to post and unlimited AI prompts. Extra team members, for collaboration and approval workflows, are added per member. The free plan covers 3 accounts (not X) with 10 scheduled posts each.
Best for: solo owners and small teams who want a calendar without paying for a team plan.

Buffer: free plan and low-cost approvals
Buffer's free plan covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time. Essentials is $5 per channel a month billed yearly ($6 monthly). Team, $10 per channel ($12 monthly), adds unlimited team members, access levels and approval workflows. For a business with a handful of channels that's often less than Loomly Starter: 4 channels on Team cost $40 a month billed yearly.
Best for: small teams who want approvals and simple scheduling at a low price.

Zolyp: when making the posts is the problem
Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Loomly helps a team organise and approve posts; someone still has to come up with them and make them. Most tools here, like the one you're leaving, move a finished post onto a calendar. If the hard part of your week is deciding what to post and then writing and designing it, a different kind of tool fits better.
Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), fits each post to its platform, and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You approve the week in minutes. Lite is $9 a month per brand for scheduling your own posts; the plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
How do you choose?
Match the tool to what made you look:
- Your team outgrew 3 users: Sendible or Planable, both with unlimited users.
- A client or manager must sign off every post: Planable Pro or Buffer Team.
- You want the lowest monthly bill: Publer or Buffer, starting free.
- You keep running out of ideas and time to make posts: an AI social media manager that plans and creates them.

What should you check before you switch?
Three things decide whether a switch saves money:
- Your renewal date: Loomly's yearly plans can't be ended early, so time the move for the end of the term.
- How many people need to log in, including managers or clients who only approve posts.
- Which networks you post to, and whether each tool on your shortlist publishes to all of them.
How do you switch tools without missing a post?
A clean switch takes an afternoon:
- Export or write down everything still scheduled in your current tool, with dates and times. Download any reports you want to keep, too.
- Connect the same accounts in the new tool and check each one can publish.
- Recreate the scheduled posts there, checking the time zone setting first.
- Pause or empty the old queue so nothing goes out twice.
- Watch the first few posts go live before you cancel the old plan. On a yearly plan, check when it renews.
