What costs extra?

Sprout sells several capabilities as add-ons on Standard and up, arranged through its sales team rather than priced on the page: Premium Analytics, Listening (sentiment tracking, smart categories and spike alerts across public conversations), Employee Advocacy and Professional Services. Its influencer marketing platform is sold separately and doesn't need a Sprout plan.

Buffer lists no add-ons. The costs to watch are structural: every channel is billed, including the 3 you had free if you upgrade, and a Start Page counts as a channel. Nonprofits and charities get 50% off Buffer's paid plans.

Where Zolyp fits (disclosed: it's our product)

Sprout and Buffer both publish posts you've already made; Sprout also helps you answer and report on them. Zolyp, which we make, makes the posts: it plans the week, writes and designs each one against your Brand Brain, and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads after you approve. It has no social inbox, review management or listening, so Sprout is the better fit for customer-care teams. Lite is $9 a month per brand for scheduling posts you make yourself; the plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with team members included and a 3-day free trial, no card required.
