How do you open ads reporting?

Reporting is on the web. Pinterest's pages give two routes: the Review reporting page says Campaign manager under Manage campaigns, while the Customize your reporting table page says Reporting under Ads. Follow whichever your menu shows:

  1. Log in to your Pinterest business account on a computer.
  2. Click the menu icon at the top left.
  3. Under Manage campaigns, click Campaign manager.
  4. Use the graph for a visual summary and the table below it to view or export data.

Which filters and conversion settings should you set?

The filters above the graph change what you see:

  • Time zone: add your local time zone in Business Manager under Ad accounts, then Settings, and switch between it and UTC
  • Date range: any range within the last 25 months. Last 7 days excludes today, so pick Today or Hourly for a campaign launched in the past 24 hours. Hourly covers any 3 days within the last 7
  • Conversion data only goes down to daily level, even in the hourly view
  • Objective and status: compare several objectives or statuses at once
  • Conversion settings: choose the window, date and source. Pinterest recommends 30 days for clicks and 30 days for views
  • Undelivered ads and product groups are hidden by default. Use the Hide undelivered campaign toggle at the top right to show them

How do you add columns or build a custom table?

To choose which metrics appear:

  1. Click Edit columns at the top right of the reporting table.
  2. Select columns from the list on the left, remove any with the x icon, and drag to reorder.
  3. Click Apply, or Save and apply to keep the view.
  4. To calculate your own metric, click the plus icon, then Add a column, name it, enter a formula and choose a format ($, # or %).
  5. Pick your saved view from the Table drop-down at the top right of the table.
  • You can save up to 10 custom columns in each custom table. They're saved for the whole advertiser, so deleting one may remove it from colleagues' tables too
  • Formulas don't accept decimals or percentages: write 0.75 as (75/100)
  • In Table settings, tick Save table to ad account to share a table, or Set as default reporting table to open it every time

How do you export, and what is Conversion insights?

Click Export above the reporting table and choose the data you want; it downloads as a CSV. Choose Report: current table view to get exactly what's on screen.

Conversion insights is a separate beta page under Analytics that combines organic and paid results for the whole business account. It needs a healthy Pinterest tag, only shows data from the date the tag started working, and defaults to a 1-day view and 30-day click window if you haven't set one in Ads Manager. For ROAS and cost per action, Pinterest points you back to ads reporting.

Why don't your numbers match?

Differences usually come from settings, not errors:

  • New campaign shows nothing: the default Last 7 days excludes today. Switch to Today or Hourly
  • Ads missing from the table: undelivered rows are hidden until people interact with them
  • Conversion insights is higher or lower: it covers the business account rather than one ad account, uses a last-touch model and may use a different conversion window
  • Google Analytics shows fewer conversions: third-party tools default to last-click and can't see activity on Pinterest
  • Shopify shows fewer: the Pinterest for Shopify app only reports last-click conversions
  • Conversions missing: check the Pinterest tag. Tag errors can take up to seven days to update after you fix them

Common questions

Where are Pinterest ads reports?

Open the menu at the top left of your business account and click Campaign manager under Manage campaigns. Some Pinterest pages call it Reporting under Ads.

How far back does Pinterest ads reporting go?

You can choose a custom date range within the last 25 months.

What attribution window does Pinterest recommend?

Its reporting page recommends 30 days for clicks and 30 days for views (30/30).

Can I export Pinterest ads data to a spreadsheet?

Yes. Click Export above the reporting table and choose the data. It downloads as a CSV.

Why does Pinterest show more conversions than Google Analytics?

Google Analytics defaults to last-click and can't see what people see or do on Pinterest, so it doesn't credit earlier Pin views or clicks.
