How do you post a video as a LinkedIn Page?
Super and content admins post Page videos from the admin view: click Page posts, then Start a post, then the pencil icon to upload the video. You can add your own captions or turn on automatic captions. In the app, tap Dashboard, choose Page posts, then tap Post.
Page videos follow LinkedIn's Pages video specification, which is stricter on length than the general one. See the table below.

What are LinkedIn's video limits?
LinkedIn publishes two sets of figures. Its member help pages allow up to 15 minutes; its Pages and Career Pages specification lists 10 minutes. If you post as a Page, plan for 10.
- Formats: the two pages differ. The troubleshooting page lists MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, MKV and WMV among others; the Pages specification says AVI, QuickTime and MOV are no longer supported. MP4 is accepted by both, so export as MP4.
- Animated GIFs aren't supported as video.
- LinkedIn notes quality may drop for files close to the maximum size.

Does LinkedIn have a vertical video feed?
LinkedIn has an immersive video feed that people can scroll through. You can't post to it directly: LinkedIn's help centre says it shows existing LinkedIn videos based on their quality and relevance. Post your video the normal way and it can be picked up there.
Vertical video is within LinkedIn's limits, since the aspect range runs from 1:2.4 (tall) to 2.4:1 (wide), so a 9:16 phone video uploads as it is. Whatever the shape, LinkedIn advises keeping the top, bottom and sides clear of key text and logos, so the app's buttons don't cover them.

How do captions and thumbnails work on LinkedIn video?
Many people watch with the sound off, so captions matter. On desktop you can choose Add auto captions, review them, or upload a caption file. In the app you can add and review auto captions. LinkedIn's auto captions support 10 languages.
A custom thumbnail is set on desktop: after uploading, select Video thumbnail, then Upload video thumbnail. Use a clear frame with a few large words that say what the video is about.

What makes a LinkedIn video work?
LinkedIn's own Pages guidance says video gets 5x more engagement on LinkedIn, and suggests using it where you can. That's LinkedIn's figure; your results will depend on the video. Habits that help:
- Say the point in the first few seconds, before people scroll past.
- Keep it short. Most business videos don't need anywhere near the limit.
- Film people: a quick explanation from the owner or a customer beats a polished advert.
- Turn on captions and check them for names and technical words.
- Write post text that works on its own, in case the video doesn't play.
- Reply to comments in the first few hours.

Where Zolyp fits
Zolyp, which publishes this guide, is our own product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Zolyp publishes video to LinkedIn and checks it against the limits its publishing path enforces before it's queued: 3 seconds to 10 minutes, up to 500 MB, MP4, WebM or MKV, at 1:2.4 to 2.4:1. Those sit inside the limits LinkedIn publishes for both member and Page videos. LinkedIn is one of the 9 platforms it publishes to (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads), and you approve the week before anything goes live. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial.
