How does LinkedIn Page messaging work?
With messaging on, your Page shows a Message button, and people can also message you from search results. Messages land in the Page inbox, where admins read and reply as the Page.
- Only super admins and content admins can see and reply to Page messages.
- Admins can see which admin sent each reply. Members can't.
- A Page can only message a member who messaged the Page first.
- Messaging may already be on if your Page is eligible.

How do conversation topics work?
When someone messages your Page, they choose a topic so you know what it's about. Pick topics that match the questions you want, and make sure the right people have admin roles to answer them.
- In the admin view, click Inbox.
- Click the More icon next to Inbox and select Inbox settings.
- Select at least two topics and click Save.
- If a member picks the Services topic, their message opens a request for services.
- To change a conversation's topic, open it, click More and choose Edit conversation topic. You can filter the inbox by topic.

How do you reply to and organise Page messages?
From the admin view:
- Click Inbox in the left menu.
- Click a conversation to read or reply.
- Use the Inbox dropdown at the top to switch to Archived or Spam.
- For spam or abuse, restrict the member so they can't send more messages, mark the message as spam, mute the conversation or report it.
- LinkedIn says messages sent to a Page may be kept by the Page and handled through its own tools, so it tells members not to send sensitive information.

How do you get notified and keep your response time quick?
To get an alert for each new Page message:
- Click the Me icon and select Settings & Privacy.
- Click Notifications, then Pages.
- Switch Allow page notifications on, then turn on Page messaging.
- Choose in-app, push or email for it.
- If your Page replied to at least one message in the past seven days, members may see your average response time when they write to you.
- It's based on the fastest 90% of replies over the past seven days, shown to the nearest hour if under 24 hours and to the nearest day otherwise.
- To check yours, click View as member in the admin view, then Message.
- If nobody can reply for a while, LinkedIn suggests turning the Message button off and back on later.

Where Zolyp fits
Zolyp, which publishes this guide, is our own product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Page messages stay in LinkedIn's inbox, and Zolyp doesn't read or answer them. It writes and schedules your company Page posts and shows their comments and analytics, so you know which posts get people talking. LinkedIn is one of the 9 platforms it publishes to (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads), and you approve the week before anything goes live. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial.
