Repost, share, credit or Stitch: which should you use?
They do different jobs. A business account reposting customers' videos about it is a quick form of social proof; a video of your own that builds on someone else's is better as a Stitch or a credited post.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Repost | Puts someone's video in your community's For You feed and on your repost tab |
| Share | Sends a post by direct message or to another app |
| Credit | Mentions a video or creator in the description of your own post |
| Duet or Stitch | Makes a new video that uses part of the original |

What if Repost or Share isn't working?
TikTok's fixes for sharing problems in the app, in this order:
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Clear the app's video cache.
- Restart the app and your device.
- Update to the latest version of TikTok.
- On a web browser, refresh the page, then the browser.
- Can't see Save video when sharing? That option only appears on posts whose creator has turned on download permissions.
