What happens when you block someone?
Once you block a member:
- You can't see each other's profiles, message each other or see each other's shared content on LinkedIn.
- If you were connected, you aren't any more.
- You disappear from each other's Who's viewed your profile.
- Their endorsements and recommendations of you are removed.
- They stop getting your newsletter if they subscribed.
- LinkedIn stops suggesting you to each other, for example in People You May Know.
- They may still see anything you make public, such as your public profile and public posts.

How do you block someone from your company Page or your comments?
Super admins and content admins can block a member from a LinkedIn Page, for example for spam, harassment or scams.
- A member blocked from your Page can't comment on its posts, repost them or message the Page. They aren't notified, and existing comments and messages stay visible.
- They can still find and view the Page, and its posts may still appear in their feed.
- To stop a Page commenting on your own posts: open one of its comments, click the More icon and select Block comments from this Page. LinkedIn is still rolling this out, so you may not have it yet.
- To stop just one person messaging your Page, restrict them from the Page inbox.

What else can you do short of blocking?
To remove someone from your connections without blocking them:
- Go to the connection's profile.
- Click More in the introduction section.
- Select Remove Connection.
- They aren't notified, but endorsements and recommendations between you are withdrawn and don't come back if you reconnect.
- You can also hide the public version of your profile, hide your profile photo or limit who can send you invitations.

Where Zolyp fits
Zolyp, which publishes this guide, is our own product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Blocking happens in LinkedIn. Zolyp shows the comments on your company Page posts alongside their analytics, which helps you spot a problem commenter early. LinkedIn is one of the 9 platforms it publishes to (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads), and you approve the week before anything goes live. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial.
Common questions
Does LinkedIn tell someone when you block them?
In most cases, no. The exception is someone you share or shared a LinkedIn Recruiter account with.
Can someone I blocked still see my posts?
They may still see anything you make public, such as your public profile and public posts, but not your profile on LinkedIn itself.
How do I see who I've blocked on LinkedIn?
Go to Me, Settings & Privacy, Visibility, then Blocking.
Is there a limit to how many people I can block?
No. But if you've blocked more than 2,000 members, you may need support's help to unblock some.
What's the difference between blocking and removing a connection?
Removing only ends the connection. Blocking also stops profile views, messages and content between you.
