What are Business Profile attributes?
Attributes are short facts about your business, such as outdoor seating, Wi-Fi or cash only. Google shows them on Search, Maps and other Google services, and says some attributes may help your business appear in searches for those features.
- Factual attributes, such as outdoor seating, are ones you can edit yourself.
- Subjective attributes, such as whether a place is popular with locals, come from the opinions of Google users who have visited. You can't set these.
- Some attributes may be filled in from what customers who visit tell Google.
- Which attributes you see depends on your location, country and business category, and Google may rename attributes over time to match how people search.

How do you add or edit attributes?
- Go to your Business Profile.
- Select Edit profile, then More.
- Next to the attribute category you want to change, such as Amenities or Payments, select Edit.
- Next to each attribute, such as Wi-Fi or Cash-only, select Yes or No.
- Select Save.
- Google reviews the edit before it goes live. That usually takes about 10 minutes and occasionally up to 30 days.
- Our suggestion: only answer Yes where it's true on an ordinary day. A customer who turns up expecting Wi-Fi or card payments and finds neither is the kind of visit that ends in a bad review.

How do you mark your business as accessible?
Accessibility attributes help people plan a visit, so Google gives a clear test for each one. Select Yes only if your premises meet it:
| Attribute | Google says select Yes if |
|---|---|
| Wheelchair-accessible entrance | The entrance is about 1 metre (3 feet) wide with no steps, or has a permanent or movable ramp where there are steps. A revolving door as the only entrance is a No. |
| Wheelchair-accessible restroom | The restroom entrance is at least 1 metre wide with no steps, and any accessible stall is also 1 metre wide. |
| Wheelchair-accessible seating | The main area has no steps and enough room to reach and use a table. High, standing-level tables are a No. |
| Wheelchair-accessible parking | You have a reserved accessible space. Local rules decide how it's marked. |
| Wheelchair-accessible elevator | Your business is on more than one floor and has a lift big enough for a wheelchair. |
| Assistive hearing loop | A hearing loop is permanently installed. |
| Assisted listening devices | You have devices customers can borrow on site. |

How do business identity attributes work?
Identity attributes let you show who owns or runs the business. Google's list is Asian-owned, Black-owned, Latino-owned, LGBTQ+ owned, Disabled-owned, Indigenous-owned, Veteran-owned, Women-owned and Small business.
- You can choose more than one, and opt in or out at any time.
- Small business: franchises aren't eligible, and the business must earn under $10 million a year. Google may also mark a business as small based on information it has.
- Recycling attributes, such as batteries, clothing or glass bottles, depend on your category and show a recycling icon in search results.

Why isn't an attribute showing?
Work through these in order:
- It isn't offered for you. Some attributes only exist in certain locations, countries or categories, so changing your category can change the list.
- It's still under review. Allow up to 30 days before assuming it was rejected.
- It's subjective. Attributes based on customer opinion can't be set by the business.
- It was renamed. Google says attribute names can change to match how people search.
- You manage 10 or more locations. Google lets you bulk upload attributes using the attributes reference spreadsheet in Business Profile Manager, and agencies can use the Business Profile APIs.
