Why do people look for a Planable alternative?
Planable is one of the best tools for reviewing posts with clients and colleagues. People usually look elsewhere because of:
- Post caps: Basic allows 60 posts per workspace a month and Pro 150. Only Enterprise is unlimited.
- Required approvals, where someone must sign off before publishing, start on Pro at $49 a workspace a month billed yearly ($59 monthly). Multi-level approvals are Enterprise-only.
- Analytics ($14 a workspace a month) and the social inbox ($9) are add-ons, so the real price per brand climbs.
- Basic publishes one post to X per 24 hours, and the free trial doesn't include X.
- Each brand or client needs its own workspace, so the bill grows with your client list.

Loomly: approvals and analytics in one price
Loomly charges for a bundle of accounts rather than per brand. Starter is $49 a month billed yearly ($65 monthly) for 12 social accounts and 3 users, with approval workflows and roles, advanced analytics, a hashtag manager and replies to interactions included rather than sold as add-ons. Scheduling is unlimited. Beyond ($249 a month billed yearly) raises that to 60 accounts and unlimited users, with scheduled reports and custom branding.
Best for: one team running a few brands that wants approvals and analytics without add-ons. Yearly plans save 25% but can't be cancelled early. Free trial, no card.

Premium ($199) adds content libraries, campaigns and custom branded reports. Yearly billing saves 15%; the trial is 14 days, no card.

Zolyp: when making the posts is the problem
Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Planable is excellent at getting a post approved; it doesn't write or design the post being approved. Most tools here, like the one you're leaving, move a finished post onto a calendar. If the hard part of your week is deciding what to post and then writing and designing it, a different kind of tool fits better.
Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), fits each post to its platform, and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You approve the week in minutes. Lite is $9 a month per brand for scheduling your own posts; the plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
How do you choose?
Look at where Planable's limits pinch:
- You hit the monthly post cap: Sendible, Loomly or Buffer's paid plans, which don't cap scheduled posts (fair use applies).
- You pay for the Analytics and Inbox add-ons on every workspace: Loomly or Zoho Social, which include them.
- You need required approvals for a few channels: Buffer Team.
- Clients keep asking where the posts are: a tool that drafts the posts for you to approve, rather than one that only routes them.

What should you check before you switch?
Compare like with like before you move:
- Count your workspaces: each brand or client is one, and Planable offers volume discounts from 5.
- Add up the Analytics and Social Inbox add-ons you pay for today, so you compare the full price.
- Check how your clients approve now, and whether they'll need a login in the new tool.
How do you switch tools without missing a post?
A clean switch takes an afternoon:
- Export or write down everything still scheduled in your current tool, with dates and times. Download any reports you want to keep, too.
- Connect the same accounts in the new tool and check each one can publish.
- Recreate the scheduled posts there, checking the time zone setting first.
- Pause or empty the old queue so nothing goes out twice.
- Watch the first few posts go live before you cancel the old plan. On a yearly plan, check when it renews.
Common questions
Is Planable free?
There's a free trial of 50 posts in total, with no time limit and no card. The posts don't reset monthly, and X publishing isn't available during the trial.
How much does Planable cost per month?
Basic is $39 a workspace a month ($33 billed yearly) and Pro $59 ($49 billed yearly). Analytics is $14 and the social inbox $9 a workspace a month on top. Enterprise is custom.
What is a workspace in Planable?
One brand, client or location, with its own pages, calendar, team and approval flow. Planable recommends one workspace per brand or client, so five clients means five workspaces.
Which Planable alternative has no monthly post limit?
Sendible and Buffer's paid plans offer unlimited scheduling (with a daily limit or fair use policy), and Loomly lists unlimited scheduling on Starter and Beyond.
Does Planable charge per user?
No. Every plan includes unlimited users; you pay per workspace, plus any add-ons you switch on.
