Likes or follows: what changed?
Meta says that starting in August 2025, people can no longer like Pages and can only follow them, while still liking posts and other content. When someone follows your Page, they may see its posts in their Feed. You can see who follows the Page, but not who liked it; Meta notes some Pages may still show a like button while it's being removed.

How do you invite friends to follow your Page?
Invitations come from your personal profile, not the Page. Meta's Facebook help steps on a computer:
- Go to your Page.
- Click Options below the Page's cover photo and select Invite friends.
- If prompted, click Switch below Switch profiles so you're using your personal profile.
- Click the names of the friends you want to invite (you can search for them).
- Click Send invitations.

What else does Meta suggest for getting followers?
Meta's own best practices for growing a Page audience include:
- Share the Page in your personal Feed with Share below the cover photo, and ask friends to share it too.
- Post as your Page in local or industry groups you've joined.
- Choose up to three specific categories so the Page shows up in relevant searches.
- Add a profile picture, a cover photo, your website, menu or services and an action button.
- Add your address if you have premises, and keep your hours up to date.
- Turn on recommendations so visitors can review you.
- Use ads: profile visit ads, or an engagement ad with your Page as the conversion location to maximise follows.
- Check Page insights once you have more than 100 followers, which is when Meta recommends using them.

Why can't you invite friends to your Page?
Check these before trying again:
- You're acting as the Page. Switch to your personal profile; Meta's business help says this is required.
- You've hit the limit. Meta's business help says you can only invite up to 200 friends to follow your Page. The Facebook help page doesn't mention a limit.
- You're thinking of a profile. Inviting friends to follow a profile works in the Facebook app, and for followers to invite their friends to your profile, Meta says pro mode must be on.
- You see a like button. Meta says likes are being removed from all Pages, so counts and lists now show follows.

Keeping new followers interested
Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Invitations bring the first followers; regular, useful posts are what keep them. Zolyp plans, writes and publishes those posts to your Facebook Page each week, so new followers find something worth staying for.
Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), then schedules and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You review and approve the week, and Autopilot lets you hand off publishing theme by theme once you trust the output. Plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.
