Where do you find comments on your TikTok ads?
Ad comments live in Comments Manager, not your TikTok inbox. Your Ads Manager account must be linked to a TikTok account to manage them. Two ways in:
- Hover over Tools in the top menu and click Comments or Comments Manager.
- Or go to Campaigns, open the Ad group tab, click the three dots next to an ad group and choose Comments.

How do you set up Blocked Words for TikTok ads?
Blocked Words hide comments, and block the users posting them, automatically:
- In Ads Manager, hover over Tools and click Comments or Comments Manager.
- Click Blocked Words in the left-hand menu.
- Click Add.
- Type your words, separated by commas.
- Click Confirm.
- The list holds up to 500 words, each up to 30 Latin characters.
- You can edit, delete or export words from the Action column. Deleting a word makes the comments it hid public again.

- Turn off User comment (labelled Allow comments for some advertisers).

Why can't you hide or reply to a comment on your TikTok ad?
Check these:
- The comment contains a blocked word. TikTok doesn't let you hide or unhide those manually.
- It's a Spark Ad. You need authorisation for the business identity that created it. For Spark Ads using an account you own, only the user linked to that TikTok account can reply.
- Your Ads Manager account isn't linked to a TikTok account.
- You don't have permission to edit ad groups, which turning off comments requires.

Where Zolyp fits (from the team behind this guide)
Zolyp, which publishes this guide, is an AI social media manager: it plans, writes, designs and schedules posts for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads, and you approve the week before anything goes out. It doesn't moderate ad comments. Those stay in TikTok Ads Manager's Comments Manager.
