What is X Delegate?

Delegate lets several people work on one X account. The owner assigns and removes roles, and nobody else needs the password. It works on x.com and X Pro, but you turn it on and send invites on x.com. X says account owners are responsible for what admins and contributors post.

Why can't you invite someone or manage delegates?

  • The person has turned off Allow others to Delegate to you. X suggests asking them to check
  • You're a contributor. Only owners and admins can manage delegates
  • They can't find the invite: it's in their email and in Delegate on x.com under Accounts delegated to you, then Pending invites
  • You changed the password and expected delegates to lose access. They don't, so remove them from Members you've delegated to
  • You only see Delegate settings in X Pro: invites are sent from x.com
