The best SocialPilot alternatives in 2026

SocialPilot has no free plan (a 14-day trial), and its cheapest plan, Essentials at $25 a month billed yearly, leaves out analytics, the social inbox and approvals. For a free plan, Buffer or Metricool. For fewer accounts at a lower price, Publer starts at $5 a month per account ($4 billed yearly). For a bigger team that wants listening and enterprise support, Hootsuite. And if you'd rather not make every post yourself, Zolyp (our product, disclosed upfront) plans, writes and designs them, from $29 a month.

Why do people look for a SocialPilot alternative?

SocialPilot is good value for agencies and multi-account teams. People usually look elsewhere because of:

  • No free plan: a 14-day trial, then Essentials at $25 a month billed yearly ($30 monthly).
  • Essentials has no analytics, social inbox or approvals; those start on Standard, $42 a month billed yearly ($50 monthly).
  • Client approval and white-label reports start on Premium, $85 a month billed yearly.
  • You still make every post: its AI credits (500 a month on Essentials) help with text, not with planning the week or designing.

Buffer: free and simple

Buffer's free plan covers up to 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time, including X. Paid plans start at $5 a month per channel, so a business with 3 or 4 channels often pays less than SocialPilot Essentials.

Metricool: free plan with analytics

Metricool's free plan includes one brand, 20 posts a month and 30 days of analytics, but not LinkedIn or X. Starter is from $20 a month billed yearly for up to 5 brands, with analytics included rather than reserved for a higher tier.

Publer: cheaper per account

Publer's Professional plan is $5 a month per account ($4 billed yearly). For a few accounts it costs less than SocialPilot; SocialPilot gets better value as the account count grows.

Hootsuite: enterprise teams

Hootsuite costs more (Standard is $99 per user a month billed yearly, up to 10 accounts) but adds listening and the depth large teams want. Choose it if you're moving up, not to save money.

Zolyp: when making the posts is the problem

Zolyp is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. SocialPilot makes managing many accounts efficient; the posts still have to come from somewhere. Most tools here, like the one you're leaving, move a finished post onto a calendar. If the hard part of your week is deciding what to post and then writing and designing it, a different kind of tool fits better.

Zolyp plans the week across your content themes, writes the captions and designs the visuals against your Brand Brain (your tone, colours and rules, saved once), fits each post to its platform, and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Threads. You approve the week in minutes. Lite is $9 a month per brand for scheduling your own posts; the plans that create the posts start at $29 a month, with a 3-day free trial and no card required.

How do you switch tools without missing a post?

A clean switch takes an afternoon:

  1. Export or write down everything still scheduled in your current tool, with dates and times.
  2. Connect the same accounts in the new tool and check each one can publish.
  3. Recreate the scheduled posts there, checking the time zone setting first.
  4. Pause or empty the old queue so nothing goes out twice.
  5. Watch the first few posts go live before you cancel the old plan.
